Audit outcome

The code review and manual inspection of the published website identified no Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Meta/Facebook Pixel, Microsoft Clarity, Hotjar, DoubleClick, advertising cookies, tracking pixels, local storage (localStorage) or session storage (sessionStorage) installed by AquaVance.

Technical cookies associated with the security infrastructure protecting and delivering the website were observed. No category of non-essential cookies used by AquaVance has currently been identified.

Technical cookies observed

The following cookies may appear when Cloudflare's infrastructure evaluates requests, protects the website against automated traffic or confirms that a visitor has passed a security check. Their presence may depend upon connection conditions and the security measures applied at the time.

• __cf_bm — provider: Cloudflare. Used by Cloudflare Bot Management to help distinguish automated traffic and protect the website. It is strictly necessary for this security purpose and, according to Cloudflare's documentation, expires after 30 minutes of continuous inactivity.
• cf_clearance — provider: Cloudflare. Retains security-detection or clearance information that allows access to the website without immediately repeating the check. It is strictly necessary when that protection is activated. Its effective duration depends upon the security configuration applied and is not stated here without a specific inspection of its expiry attribute.
• Cookie carrying the __Host- prefix — the prefix indicates that the browser enforces stronger security attributes: Secure transport, Path=/ and no Domain attribute. The prefix does not reveal the cookie's purpose, provider, complete name or duration. As the complete name has not been confirmed, this policy does not attribute any additional function to it.

Why prior consent is not requested

The cookies identified support security, abuse prevention and reliable website delivery. They are not used for analytics, advertising, profiling or cross-site tracking.

Cookies that are strictly necessary to provide a requested service or protect its operation may be used without prior consent under the applicable rules. AquaVance remains responsible for describing them transparently. If non-essential technology is introduced in future, it will not be activated before visitors can accept or reject it where the law requires.

External resources

Some photographs are loaded from external image-hosting services, currently including images served by Unsplash. When those files are requested, the browser may send standard technical information to the external server, including IP address, browser details and the referring page.

The audit found no tracking scripts associated with those images within the AquaVance website. External services apply their own policies to any processing of the requests they receive.

Contact form and storage

The contact form prepares an email on the visitor's device. The page does not save the form content in cookies, localStorage, sessionStorage or a website database.

The information reaches AquaVance only if the visitor chooses to send the email using their email application or provider.

Consent and future changes

As no non-essential cookies are currently activated, displaying an acceptance banner would be unnecessary and potentially misleading. If analytics, advertising, embedded content or another non-essential technology is added later, this policy will be updated and a mechanism will be implemented to allow acceptance or rejection before activation and subsequent preference changes.

You can control or delete cookies using your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary technology could affect the operation or security of certain services.
